Quilting at Pineapple Tidbits Weekend in Delta Junction and Playing with 3 Grandkids in Anchorage

DELTA & ANCHORAGE, ALASKA & OREGON... My how time flies. It's been over a month since I posted anything here. In that time I went to Alaska, visited my middle son and his family. Also I went to a Spring Fling Quilting Retreat (March 17-18, "Pineapple Tidbits Weekend" by the Forget-Me-Knot Quilter's Guild of Delta Junction). Since the retreat was in Delta Junction, AK, where I lived for 17 years before moving here to Oregon in 2001, I got to visit with lots of old friends.

I had lots of fun with my three grandkids in Anchorage. They are growing up so fast. Erica is learning Russian in kindergarten, and Carter is all about going FAST! And poor baby Morgan wasn't feeling so good. But that meant I was able to spend lots of time holding and cuddling her.

What fun getting together with quiltfriends that have too long ago moved away. How is it that we can be apart so long and when we get back together it is just as when we separated last? How complex and fantastic are human relationships. And even more amazing that a person, a self contained one of a kind uniquely created and with total experiences differnet than any other human being bond so closly and so resolutly with another. It amazes me. ANd even though we are so far apart, sometimes don't talk for months..still I feel as at ease with my friend as I do in my own skin. My friend...Peggy. No mere tidbit in my pineapple upside down cake!
